Mushroom Mycelium Mask
Bio-mask For Workshops
Hwachan Lee, Yoomin Maeng
Through collaboration with a public biology lab ‘Biolab Seoul’, we aimed to create content that anyone can experience and become interested in bio-material, mycelium. The mycelium consumes natural waste to grow into the desired shape, and has a white texture as a drawing paper. That has led us to design masks that everyone used to decorate or play with when we were young. Biolab Seoul has been working to introduce various bio-materials to the public in the form of workshops. Workshop has the advantage of learning new things since it provides opportunities for active experience. As one of those workshops, mycelium mask can provide the pleasant experience of the material by playing with it.
