Kakao Plex

"The 2025 Kakao Plex is a mobility and service platform for Seoul’s Smart City. The biggest changes to mobility currently are the increase in EV as well as the popularization of personal micro-mobility(PM). In regards to widespreading usage of EV, the main energy source for automobiles shifted from fossil fuels to energies such as electricity and hydrogen, which subsequently also changed automobile fueling experience from a “5 minute fill up on gas” to a “30 minute charge”. As a result, unlike before, future charging stations can be expected to provide a variety of additional services other than charging. Furthermore, as personal mobility has emerged as popular means of transportation, there has been in increasing demand for seamless movement. Kakao Plex not only provides electric car charging services, but also charging and transfer services for public transportation users. For users who need to charge their vehicles, express-type services will be offered during the 15 minutes time required. Public transportation users will be provided with shuttles that travel between Plexes, as well as a PM zone that users can transfer to seamlessly and immediately upon arrival. As such, in 2025, Kakao Plex will transform Seoul into a smart city, and present the city with new mobility experience. "
